Where is the Generali Group’s Head Office located?

The Head Office of Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A., Parent Company of the Generali Group, is located in Trieste, Italy, in:

The main building is located along the city seafront called "The Rive" (i.e. "the Shores"), overseeing some nice panoramic views.

What is the main difference between the www.generali.com and the www.generali.it web sites ?

www.generali.com is Assicurazioni Generali’s institutional website, managed by the Central Head Office in Trieste. It includes an overview of Generali and its organizational set-up, the Group’s strategic guidelines, its consolidated results, press releases, and Corporate Governance rules.

www.generali.it is managed by the Head Office for Italian Operations, based in Mogliano Veneto (Treviso), and covers the Company’s Italian insurance operations. The site gives key information on products, services, and relevant distribution networks available in Italy.

Which are the main peers of the Generali Group ?

The Generali Group’s main international peers are Axa, France (www.axa.com), Allianz, Germany (www.allianz.com), ING, the Netherlands (www.ing.com), Zurich Financial Services, Switzerland (www.zurich.com).

Besides these companies operating worldwide, there are a number of operators competing with Generali Group Companies at national level in the various markets.

HOSPITAL AND SURGICAL INSURANCE

If I am out of town and have to undergo a hospital treatment, can I use Generali card?

You can use Generali card throughout Indonesia in hospitals affiliated to PT Asuransi Jiwa Generali Indonesia.

If I lose my card, what should I do to be able to use Generali provider’s facilities?

You can report the loss to HRD, which will confirm to Generali so that a new card can be made. You will have to pay an administration fee of Rp 20,000 per card.

If I still haven’t received the card because it is still being processed, but I have to undergo treatment, what is the procedure?

You can report to HRD, which will give a written confirmation letter to Generali Customer Service to issue a manual letter of guarantee.

If I have another insurance policy asides from Generali, will I be able to get compensation from both insurance companies?

Our terms and condition spells out the COMPENSATION COORDINATION, which states that the amount of compensation received by policyholder will not exceed the amount he/she spends.
For example: The claim amount is Rp. 1,000,000,

  • Other insurance pays Rp 600,000
  • Generali Insurance pays a maximum of Rp. 400,000 or the remainder, as long as it doesn’t exceed the maximum benefit agreed in the insurance policy.

What is Complex, Major, Intermediate and Minor Surgery?

They are the types and categories of surgery that are informed by the doctor in lines with the name of the surgery on the surgical tables stated in the insurance policy.

If I seek medical treatment over seas, will the payment be adjusted to the exchange rate of that country?

If you seek payment abroad, the claim will be paid according to the exchange rate in the policy. The exchange rate applied is that of the time of the claim payment, as according to the government regulation.

If the hospital room determined by my policy plan is full or not available, what is the procedure?

You will have to cover the excess of room and other treatment expenses. That is why we suggest our members to choose their hospital and their rooms wisely.

 

OUTPATIENT TREATMENT INSURANCE

If I want to seek medical treatment but I don’t have my card with me, would I be still be able to get medical service at the affiliated hospital/clinic?

You can still get treatment through our Reimbursement system, and file the claims to PT.Asuransi Jiwa Generali Indonesia.

If there are problems with my card while I’m seeking treatment, what should I do?

You can immediately call our Customer Service. The number is at the back of the card.

Is acupuncture treatment covered?

It is covered if it is conducted by a doctor, and there are medical indications.

Is circumcision covered?

It is covered if there are medical indications.

If I consult at an affiliated hospital/clinic, but buy the medications at a different pharmacy, would I be reimbursed?

You will if the medications are prescribed by the doctors from that hospital

Are vitamins and food supplements covered?

They are covered if there are medical indications.

 

DELIVERY INSURANCE

If I give birth to twins, would I get double coverage?

No. Members who have twins are given benefits as according to the plans in the policy.

If the birthing process requires the use of vacuuming, forceps or induction, will it be covered?

Members will only be covered if they have a Natural Delivery.

After birth, because the baby is in yellow condition, can it be covered immediately?

The coverage on the baby is under the mother’s maternity coverage, if there is still left in the coverage.

If I have nother illness during pregnancy, will it reduce the delivery coverage?

If the illness is not a complication of the pregnancy it will be covered under the Hospital and Surgical Insurance and will not reduce the delivery coverage.

 

EYEGLASSES INSURANCE

If want to buy eyeglasses what is the procedure?

You have to first go to an ophthalmologist to get prescription. They you can send the copy the prescription along with the receipt of the glasses purchase.

If I already have eyeglasses, would I still have to go to an ophthalmologist?

You still have to see an ophthalmologist to obtain prescription for the glasses and attach it to the claim.
