The Sustainability Report was drawn up in accordance with most authoritative international standards, in particular:

• the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) guidelines (G3) and its Financial Services Supplement, published in November 2008, for contents;
• the AccountAbility1000 standard developed by the Institute of Social and Ethical Accountability for data collection.

Report Application Levels

Generali performed a self-evaluation of the application level of the GRI guidelines (G3) ("GRI Application Level"), declaring it had reached level B. This level was confirmed by assurance conducted by Mario Molteni, professor of Business Economics and Corporate Strategy at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore.
