We operate in an increasingly complex global arena, where building mutually beneficial and sustainable relationships with suppliers that meet our criteria is crucial to maintaining consistently high standards of products and services, which ultimately provide Generali with a competitive advantage. Our main suppliers are service providers related to our core business, along with some goods suppliers and support service providers (such as cleaning, maintenance, transportation, etc.).

For Generali, developing partnerships is a strategic goal, both with local and national suppliers who can provide goods and/or services and support Generali in meeting local needs, and with international and global suppliers who can help us compete in the international market by offering products and services that create long-term competitive advantages in terms of cost and quality.

We select and use the best suppliers that enable us to limit the impact of our business activities on the environment throughout the supply chain. To this end, we support suppliers who have social responsibility policies and implement environmentally friendly approaches, such as using environmentally friendly technology and procedures, or offsetting emissions related to the services they provide.

Generali Group aims to collaborate with suppliers and external parties who share Generali Values, committed to promoting compliance with environmental protection, human rights, labor rights, safety, quality, and other factors contributing to the well-being of communities overall. Generali Group also adheres to ethical principles in conducting procurement processes and business relations with our suppliers.

To achieve this, we have selected external providers who will ensure impartial assessments of our suppliers' commitments to Environmental, Social, and Governance issues, identifying potential areas for improvement for our suppliers to strengthen our partnerships and share the same values.
